Kurjenraitti is a children's residential and temporary care unit that provides enhanced 24-hour service housing and temporary care for minors with intellectual disabilities. The client group consists of clients with challenging behavior as well as severely disabled clients with special needs. Guardianship of the children remains with the parents, so the core of our work is close, open, and confidential cooperation with the children's parents. Additionally, our work involves multidisciplinary cooperation with, among others, educational institutions and health services. The goal of our work is a safe, high-quality daily life and housing that takes individual needs into account. Your duties include: - taking care of residents' health and well-being together with the child's parents - planning and implementing daily life, housing, and leisure activities - home care tasks, such as maintenance cleaning, laundry, and cooking - basic care and medication administration - documentation in Saga and OMNI360 client information systems. What do we hope for from you? - You are a protected title practical nurse (social services) or a basic care nurse. - You have a hygiene passport and a passed LOVe medication management online test completed during the probationary period. - Knowledge of AHHA is considered an advantage. - Experience working with children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities and challenging behavior. - A solution-oriented way of working as well as good social and interaction skills. You can start in a permanent employment relationship on September 1, 2026, or by agreement. The working time for the position is full-time, averaging 38 h 15 min/week. The work includes morning, evening, and night shifts. A six-month probationary period applies to the position. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act before the employment begins. The selected person must have valid vaccine protection in accordance with Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act (1227/2016).
