Join a meaningful and important role in the pre-analytical unit of the Diagnostics Center at HUS, Finland’s leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our main operations support specialized medical care within the HUS system and health regions, with responsibilities spanning eight medical specialties and national-level studies, teaching, and research. The Diagnostics Center employs about 3,300 laboratory and imaging professionals across more than 150 locations. We are looking for a Laboratory Nurse for a permanent position at HUS Helsinki University Hospital, with home base in South Karelia sample collection. You may start on 1 Oct 2026 or earlier by agreement. In this role you will serve as a pre-analytic expert in both outpatient and hospital lab settings, contributing to timely and safe specimen collection and high-quality patient interactions. Your day will largely involve appointment and queue management, and you will train to become a versatile sample-collection specialist. The work includes blood draws, cardiac films, spirometry, fungal samples, gynecological sampling, and point-of-care analytics. There may be sampling on wards or in the emergency department.
