Child care substitute pool

Kaarina hosts 14 daycares and one backup home (group family day care), for which we are looking for substitutes in teaching, care and support tasks. One of our daycare centers is open around the clock, so shifts can also be in the evenings and on weekends. Some activities are also organized in Swedish. To be a substitute we require at least 18 years of age, relevant education for the field or another secondary degree, and sufficiently proficient Finnish language skills. Student with field studies and those with previous work experience in early childhood education can join the substitute pool. We require substitutes to have a valid criminal background check in accordance with the Act (504/2002). The extract will be provided after submitting the application according to the upcoming instructions. Tuberculosis exposure risk must be cleared for employees working with under-6s in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act. You will answer the electronic clearance after submitting the application. Approved clearance is a prerequisite for taking on substituting work. The substitute is responsible for updating their own availability every three months to keep the application active.
