We are hiring a full-time early childhood education teacher at Havukallion day care in Vantaa starting 1 September 2026. Havukallion day care is located in a nature-rich, forested residential area with good transport connections. Nature and the surrounding environment are an integral part of our learning, and we use the local area extensively in our activities. The area’s multiculturalism enriches our daily work and brings diverse perspectives and cultures to our activities. Havukallion has five groups for children, and the facilities were recently renovated, so you will work in refreshed spaces together with other staff to create engaging and effective learning environments. Our philosophy emphasizes sensitive, warm interactions with each child, recognizing strengths, encouraging, and praising. Play, participation, and curiosity are central to our approach, and we aim to help children learn, try, and succeed in a safe atmosphere. We support the pedagogy with an employed special education teacher and development-focused teaching staff. The unit also uses the ProVaka model (positive learning in groups). We offer a supportive, collaborative workplace and opportunities to guide future professionals during field days for student teachers. We value flexibility, development-mindedness, and collaboration to build high-quality pedagogy. You should have strong Finnish language skills, both spoken and written. The recruitment process may include a video interview. The position starts as soon as a suitable candidate is found. We offer a diverse, supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth and an emphasis on equality and inclusion. The city of Vantaa offers a fair mentoring group, good education opportunities, a safe and inclusive environment, and involvement in leadership decisions. Salary starts at 3,129.71–3,234 EUR per month, with extra allowances for certain qualifications and experience. Applicants must provide a background check; TB screening requirements apply. The job is full-time, permanent. Application deadline: 28 August 2026, 16:00. Contact: Havukallion day care director Riikka Saarinen, riikka.saarinen@vantaa.fi, 8–16.
