As a leader in early childhood education, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop a modern operation together with dedicated staff. You are responsible for the overall operation and lead the unit pedagogically, administratively and financially. You are an approachable and clear leader who promotes a positive working climate and supports staff in their mission to create a meaningful everyday life for children. You collaborate smoothly with guardians and view self-leadership as an important part of your leadership. You emphasize clarity, social competence, coaching leadership and a problem-solving approach. You work respectfully and inclusively, contributing to good conditions for the entire work community to succeed. You lead and develop the operation so that every child can play, learn and develop safely at the start of their learning path. Utkikens daghem in Esboviken is a modern Swedish-speaking daycare founded in 2024. As a leader you will have the opportunity to work in a new and development-oriented environment with room to develop methods, culture and pedagogy. The daycare has seven groups and shares a building with the Finnish-speaking daycare Tähystäjän päiväkoti. Operations take place in well-adapted premises including a gym hall, workshop and movement spaces, and the daycare actively utilizes local opportunities. As a leader you are part of Svebi's leadership group where collaboration, collegial support and joint development are central. You receive close support in your assignment and good opportunities to develop as a leader. Together with principals and other leaders in Swedish-language early childhood education and schooling we work for a sustainable and high-quality educational path for Espoo's children and youth. Requirements: Competence in accordance with the Act on Early Childhood Education (540/2018) and sufficient leadership ability. Meriting are: Master’s degree in pedagogy (early childhood education) or readiness to obtain a Master’s degree and good Finnish skills. Knowledge of Finnish is required; good command of Swedish is expected. The applicant should present a police clearance as per 6 § 2 mom. of the Criminal Code.
