Foster care supervisor

We invite you to join us in meaningful work in the child welfare field. We are currently seeking a foster care supervisor for the Latvus unit in Salo, operated by Sospro Metsätammen. Latvus is a seven-bed specialized housing unit for 11–17-year-olds, located in Halikko, Salo, with expertise in addressing psychiatric challenges. It is part of the Metsätammen activity complex, sharing a building with another unit, Terho, and a school for 14 students is nearby. We offer opportunities for professional development in collaboration with TAMK via the Sospro Academy. The role involves acting as a reliable mentor and guardian for a young person, sharing your expertise with the team, collaborating with the youth’s parents, school and network, and actively contributing to care quality reporting, assessment and development. The position is full-time and temporary until 23.01.2027 with a possibility of extension. Requirements include secondary social and health care or education sector qualification; a driver’s license; hygienic pass and professional card; and a criminal record extract as required by law. Salary is based on the private social services collective agreement (G21 or G23D) depending on education, and includes possible surcharges and extra allowances; there is also a yearly sports and culture benefit of 400€ and extensive occupational health care.
