Psychiatrists and Addiction Medicine Physicians for Lapland

We are participating in a procurement process and mapping psychiatrists and addiction medicine physicians for Lapland. Period: 1 February 2027–31 January 2029, with options for 1 February 2029–31 January 2030 and 1 February 2030–31 January 2031. Service areas: Adult psychiatry, adolescent psychiatry, child psychiatry and addiction medicine services. Working hours: Weekdays, Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00. Typically four patients per day at the clinic, as well as daily consultation and telephone hours. Depending on the assignment, work may be remote, on-site or hybrid. Part-time work is possible. Requirements: A physician licensed in Finland and specialised in the relevant area for psychiatry services, or a physician licensed in Finland with at least two years of addiction medicine experience for addiction medicine services. Valvira registration, a social and healthcare professional card, good Finnish skills at C1–C2 level, vaccination protection under the Communicable Diseases Act and experience in similar duties are also required. Job description: These are psychiatry specialist and addiction medicine physician duties in the Lapland wellbeing services county. The work includes examinations, diagnostics, treatment decisions, prescriptions, statements and consultations in multidisciplinary teams. Patient information systems: Esko, Kanta and other systems managed by the Lapland wellbeing services county. The client provides orientation. Work locations are mainly Rovaniemi, Kemi and Tornio.
