Personal assistant

We are seeking a cheerful, reliable, chatty, flexible and proactive personal assistant through the Personal Help Center of Keski-Suomen hyvinvointialue for a woman in her mid-40s who has Parkinson’s disease, allergies and asthma living in Jyväskylä. The employer uses a rollator and wheelchair and is currently recovering from back surgery. The position is part-time, 0-20 hours per week depending on need, with work during weekdays and weekends. Daily shifts are 4–6 hours and scheduling is done within the employment relationship. Tasks include assisting with daily household chores, cooking meals, and external activities; assistance with dressing and hygiene when needed. The assistant attends weekly hydrotherapy with the client. A B-class driving license is required as some tasks may involve driving a car. Salary: Heta TES A 13.23 €/h plus work time and experience allowances. The employer desires good basic fitness, non-smoking, and drug-free. The role requires good Finnish language skills. Some years of experience in personal assistance is expected. Start as soon as a suitable assistant is found. Employment is always individual; the chosen person is employed by the client. Interviews and decision communicated personally. The employer may request a criminal record extract to be viewed after the employment starts (Act on supervision of social and health care 741/2023, §28). The criminal record is confidential and not to be sent with the application.
