Infrastructure Operations Engineer – Cloud Platforms Solutions. The role involves hands-on administration and operation of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), on-premise VMware environments, data centers, and regional centers. Responsibilities include OS patching, hardening, backup and disaster recovery, managing firewalls and load balancers, container platforms, monitoring, incident management, and documentation. The role supports a 24/5 operational model and cross-team collaboration for automation, governance, and platform improvements. English fluency and 5+ years of infrastructure experience are expected. Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or equivalent. Certifications are a plus. Hybrid or Remote work; occasional office visits in Kraków.

Job Details

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), on-premise VMware environments, and regional data centers.
Execute OS lifecycle activities including patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
Manage backup & recovery processes and support disaster recovery readiness.
Support Web Application Firewalls, cloud firewalls, and load balancers.
Operate and maintain container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure tooling.
Ensure platform reliability, stability, and continuity through monitoring and proactive issue resolution.
Participate in major incident management, RCA preparation and follow-up actions.
Execute infrastructure changes with risk analysis, rollback planning, and validation.
Maintain documentation in Confluence and CMDB.
Contribute to 24/5 model and handovers across global teams.
Collaborate on automation, templates, and platform standards.
Work with ServiceNow on incidents, changes, workflows.
Contribute to observability, monitoring improvements.
Contribute to automation and integration (IaC, CI/CD).
Ensure governance and compliance, FinOps, cost governance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure operations, cloud platforms, or similar roles.
Experience working in global or follow-the-sun / 24x7 environments is highly valued.
