Hydraulics Installer

We are looking for a hydraulics installer for a permanent position in Turku! Our client company specialises in the shipbuilding industry and offers comprehensive hydraulic maintenance and repair services at its premises, shipyards and vessels. Your main task will be to carry out hydraulic maintenance and repair work, for example making and servicing hoses. From time to time, your duties may also include cylinder work, oil changes or more demanding repair work. The work is full-time, 37.5 hours per week. We expect you to be ready to travel, as work is carried out at the client company’s premises, shipyards and vessels. Trips vary from a few days to a couple of weeks depending on the shipyard or vessel and its location, but these are most often in Finland or elsewhere in Europe. Because of occasional international travel, we require at least a moderate level of English. What do we hope for from you? • Previous relevant education, for example training in heavy equipment, hydraulics and/or work experience in similar duties, is an advantage for succeeding in the role. • The ability to use your own vehicle because of the client company’s location; a category C driving licence is also an advantage. • Readiness to travel occasionally for periods ranging from a few days to a few weeks. • We also value an interest in technology and machinery, commitment to the role, willingness to learn and take in new things, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, flexibility, and an honest and energetic approach to work. Work begins by agreement, and the position will be filled once a suitable person is found.
