Director, API Foundations — We are looking for an energetic, technical, and experienced software engineering leader to lead a team of 20-30 developers responsible for delivering our API and MCP foundational services. This team will be responsible for working across Bentley product teams to determine standards for all shared API services and delivering them for use across multiple Bentley teams. This leader should be a seasoned director or senior director of software development. Responsibilities include driving engineering outcomes, installing a business-minded winning engineering culture, facilitating cross-team collaboration, shipping high-quality software, cross-functional roadmap execution, and recruiting and developing engineers. Travel about 25%.

Requirements

- Leadership experience developing successful APIs, libraries, platforms, and/or specifications for software developers
- Excellent communicator with stakeholders at all levels
- Transparent, emotionally intelligent, and politics-free
- Willingness to travel ~25%
