What is the job like? The online store picker’s job is versatile, fast-paced and demanding accuracy. During the day you pick and pack several customer orders at a brisk pace, so thoroughness, a proactive attitude and the ability to multitask are emphasized. Products must be fresh, with valid dates and always aligned with customer wishes. The job is physically demanding, involving lifting and moving heavy items. By the end of the shift the step counter often shows over 20,000 steps, so good basic fitness is required. At K-citymarket Jumbo we work at a brisk pace with a smile. Customer service is an important part of the job, as picking is often done while the store is open. During picking you greet customers and help them if needed. Days go by quickly among a great picking team and customers. The work is from Monday to Saturday, and especially days before holidays are the busiest for online shopping. Shifts start at 6:00. The position is permanent, with an average of about 25 hours/week and shifts mainly five per week. We are looking for someone who wants to commit long-term and grow as part of our team. Before your first shifts you will receive the necessary training to succeed. You do not need prior work experience; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important. Previous experience in grocery retail is helpful but not required. You will need fluent Finnish and be at least 18 years old. We offer wages according to the TES for the retail sector. The exact hourly wage depends on location and experience, but everyone is paid at least the wage for a first-year professional.
