We are hiring two warm and skilled Early Support Workers for a fixed-term assignment in the Early Intervention unit for a period from 14 September 2026 to 31 May 2027. The first placement is Akvarellin Daycare, but the unit may change during employment. We value up-to-date professionalism, child-centered and positive approach, willingness to innovate, open dialogue, collaboration, and upholding the child’s rights as an adult responsibility. The role promotes equal participation of all children in the group activities and in peer groups, and supports each child’s development, learning, and well-being according to individual pedagogical plans. Prior experience with diverse support needs and measures is considered an advantage. The tasks involve project work in the “Apu arkeen pedagogisin perustein” project funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture to promote educational equality and inclusivity in early childhood education and pre-primary education. The selected candidate must provide a criminal background check under the Act on Background Checks for People Working with Children (504/2002) before starting. The role follows the municipal pay scale (B1 level) of 2186.85 €/month under the Municipal Sector collective agreement (KVTES). A four-month probation period applies. We require a suitable vocational/basic qualification and fluent Finnish language skills.
