ReOrbit is looking for a Senior AIT Technician – Harness & MLI to join our spacecraft production team and play a hands-on role in building flight-ready hardware. As our Senior AIT Technician, you will be responsible for the manufacture, assembly, verification and repair of spacecraft harnesses and Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI). You will work directly with flight hardware, taking ownership of your work packages and ensuring that every activity meets the required standards for quality, traceability and cleanliness. This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong craftsmanship mindset, who takes pride in precision and quality and is able to identify and prevent defects before they become problems. You will work closely with AIT, engineering and production teams to support spacecraft integration and ensure hardware is ready for the next stage of assembly and testing. Responsibilities Manufacture and repair spacecraft harnesses, including crimping, soldering, shielding and routing. Perform electrical verification activities, including continuity, insulation and short-circuit testing. Fabricate MLI blankets, including cutting, layering, sewing and final assembly. Perform MLI and harness rework and repair for non-conforming hardware. Follow applicable ECSS and NASA workmanship standards, as well as internal procedures and SOPs. Record manufacturing steps, inspections and test results, ensuring full traceability of all work performed. Maintain strict compliance with cleanroom, contamination control and ESD requirements. Support spacecraft integration and installation activities. Take ownership of assigned work packages and deliver them according to the required quality, schedule and documentation standards. Identify potential defects or non-conformances early and contribute to their resolution. Skills and Requirements 8+ years of experience in satellite AIT, aerospace manufacturing or cleanroom assembly. Hands-on experience manufacturing and testing electrical harnesses. Experience with MLI blanket fabrication. Strong practical skills in crimping, soldering and harness routing. Knowledge of electrical verification techniques, including continuity, insulation and short-circuit testing. Experience working with technical drawings, manufacturing instructions and build documentation. Understanding of cleanroom, contamination control and ESD requirements. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail. Strong discipline when it comes to workmanship, cleanliness and documentation. A reliable and accountable approach to owning and delivering work packages. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to share knowledge and support less experienced team members.
