Cost Estimation / Procurement Engineer

We are currently seeking a cost estimation / procurement engineer to support our accounting department and handle construction procurement for the special construction unit. Our company’s office is located in Vantaa, and most of the construction sites are in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Our projects are typically demanding or exceptionally demanding new build and/or renovation construction sites. To succeed in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in bid estimation and procurement for a construction company. Your responsibilities will include active site visits to ensure smooth procurement processes and timely project progress. You are able to form reasonable procurement packages according to the Talo80 system, suitable for various project sizes from one hundred thousand euros to several tens of millions of euros. You know subcontractors suitable for different project sizes and work methods. You actively expand your network and can handle even the most complex procurement packages. You can work on multiple projects simultaneously and plan your work hours independently to meet deadlines. Your daily tasks will include requesting preliminary bids for projects, conducting bid comparisons, preparing procurement plans for construction sites, and executing procurement tasks in collaboration with other site personnel.
