We are hiring three (3) firefighters for permanent positions at Keski-Suomen pelastuslaitos (Central Finland Rescue Department) in Jyväskylä. The positions start on 2 November 2026 or by agreement. As a firefighter, you will participate in firefighting activities, provide emergency medical care, and work on prevention of accidents by delivering safety communication and surveillance tasks. The role requires readiness to operate in demanding and rapidly changing situations and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. We seek a professional with the desire to maintain and develop their skills and to commit to the diverse duties of firefighting. We expect good interaction and collaboration skills, a responsible approach, and the ability to work in various work and customer situations. In addition to base pay, a professional allowance will be paid after 3 years at 4% and after 5 years at 8%. Please also note the favorable public-sector working conditions for example vacation days.
