Job description

Ramboll has set a goal in its new strategy to become a leading international player in sustainable development, helping clients and society move towards a sustainable future. We need skilled experts to solve these challenges and are now looking for a project manager to join us. Your new role and team Our work is based on people’s expertise, supported by technology. We use new technologies to develop our operations and broaden our opportunities. As a global organisation, we use technology to automate and simplify processes whenever possible. Ramboll supports water utilities and water-using industries in development, operational optimisation, preparedness and continuity management, solving operational problems, and meeting regulatory requirements. We are looking for a water services professional for our plant services unit, either an experienced project manager or someone committed to growing into the project manager role. This position suits someone who already knows how the water services sector works, wants to develop their expertise and is interested in managing project delivery. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading smaller investigative projects in water services. Topics may include organisational and financial reviews of water services, risk assessments, preparedness planning, strategic, preliminary or general planning, water or environmental permit applications, and asset management. Project teams typically consist of 1–4 people. - Preparing, monitoring and managing project budgets, schedules and planning progress, internal and external communications, and stakeholder cooperation. You will be responsible for and monitor the achievement of projects’ financial targets and profitability. - Carrying out planning or specialist work in the projects you lead, depending on your expertise and experience. - Preparing proposals. Administratively, you will be part of the Operations Support group in the Plant Design unit. Ramboll has 21 offices across Finland, from which you can work. Our water services experts work, among other places, in Kuopio, Espoo, Tampere, Lahti, Oulu and Jyväskylä. Remote-working opportunities are also flexible. About you For this opportunity, we expect you to have: - A suitable engineering qualification, such as an MSc in Technology or an engineering degree from a university of applied sciences. - Experience in water services work, for example at a water utility, as a designer or in a public authority role. - Experience leading projects, or a willingness to develop quickly into a project manager role. - An enthusiastic, positive and independent approach to work. - Problem-solving ability and good teamwork skills. - Strong written and spoken Finnish. What we offer - Broad opportunities to develop your expertise and take part in training. - Supportive managers guided by our leadership principles. - A friendly, people-focused culture where you are valued as yourself. - A genuine opportunity to make an impact through your work. - The Ramboll Foundation and Ramboll’s strong values.
