Reindeer’s Travel Oy is seeking part-time snowmobile guides for the coming winter season in Saariselkä. We are a rapidly growing, Sámi-owned family business organizing reindeer, snowmobile and snowmobile safaris in Saariselkä’s stunning scenery. Our priorities are great customer service, authentic experiences and safety. We want our customers to leave with a smile and memorable memories to last long after they return home. WHAT DOES A DAY AS A GUIDE LOOK LIKE? As a snowmobile guide, your day is varied and hands-on. Your duties include: - greeting and guiding guests - preparing snowmobiles and gear for safaris - giving safety and driving instructions to customers - leading snowmobile safaris - ensuring guest safety during safaris - taking care of equipment and gear - participating in safaris environment maintenance - collaborating with other guides and the rest of the team. The work largely takes place outdoors in Lapland’s winter conditions. Cold, snow and changing weather are part of the job—as are spectacular winter landscapes and customers’ happiness after a successful safari. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are primarily looking for reliable, energetic people with a positive attitude. Previous guide experience is a plus, but not required. We will train you and support your success. You have: - experience driving a snowmobile - a safe and responsible driving style - fluent English - good customer service and interpersonal skills - good physical condition - willingness to work outside in winter conditions - a B driving licence. We also value: - prior guide or events/hospitality experience - additional languages - first aid skills - experience working with international clients - other driving licences are a big plus If you don’t have first aid training yet, we will arrange training before the season begins. There is a possibility of employment already in September–October for aurora safaris with snowmobiles. The job is part-time with shifts in the evening and weekends during the season; day safaris may be possible as needed, and longer multi-week blocks with full weeks. The workload varies with bookings.
