This is a fully remote opportunity with Remote, a global HR platform. The Payroll Specialist Lead will join the Global Payroll Operations Team and own end-to-end payroll responsibilities for the Netherlands, working in a fast-paced, international environment and collaborating with Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product and Engineering stakeholders. Key duties include acting as the country SME, managing relationships, processing full end-to-end payroll in-house or via a provider, handling statutory filings, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining payments and compliance. The role emphasizes KPIs/SLAs, process improvement, and mentoring payroll specialists, with backup coverage for regional managers. You will report to the Manager, Global Payroll Operations, work with the Payroll team, and can be located anywhere in the world. Fluency in English is required; remote experience and AFAS payroll familiarity are pluses. - Act as a true subject matter expert for the country

- Process full end-to-end payroll in-house, statutory filing requirements, exceptions, approvals, payments and compliance

Requirements
- End-to-end payroll processing in-house or via payroll service provider
- Knowledge of payroll best practices
- Proficient in Excel / Google Suite
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced international environment
- Productivity mindset; proactive optimization
- Understanding of asynchronous work culture
- Fluent English
- Remote-work experience is a plus
- Experience with AFAS payroll software is a plus
