Equipment Installer • Heavy Vehicles and Refrigeration | Pirkkala Are you an automotive mechanic, heavy-vehicle mechanic, electrician or technically skilled service mechanic? Would you like to use your skills in varied refrigeration equipment installation and maintenance work and learn new things? We are seeking an Equipment Installer for our client VTA Tekniikka Oy in Pirkkala for a permanent position installing, servicing and repairing refrigeration equipment for transport vehicles. You will work with high-quality, well-known Thermo King refrigeration equipment. The role combines mechanics, electrical engineering, troubleshooting and practical installation work. You do not need to be an experienced refrigeration equipment installer. If you have a good technical foundation, experience working with machinery or vehicles, and a willingness to learn, you may be the person we are looking for. What does the work involve? Your duties will include, according to your skills and experience: Installing refrigeration equipment in transport vehicles Servicing and repairing Thermo King refrigeration equipment Identifying and repairing mechanical and electrical faults Checking equipment operation and carrying out maintenance The work is varied and practical, offering a suitable level of technical challenge. You will receive an introduction to the role, and as your skills develop you will be able to work increasingly independently. What kind of candidate are we looking for? You may have previous experience in areas such as: Heavy-vehicle maintenance and repair Automotive installation or vehicle technology Electrical installation and electrical troubleshooting Servicing and maintaining machinery, equipment or work machines Refrigeration technology or refrigeration equipment installation We especially value good technical understanding, problem-solving skills, initiative and an interest in learning new things. Practical technical skills and the right attitude are what matter most. You do not need to know everything already. You need fluent Finnish to understand work instructions, serve customers and work independently and safely. What do we offer? The shifts are generally arranged as follows: Three weeks of day shifts One week of evening shifts per month The role also includes on-call duty for approximately one week per month. On-call compensation is approximately €550 per week, in addition to applicable compensation for completed call-outs and overtime. Base pay depends on your experience and skills.
