About the role

Buyer 1 manages the negotiation and purchase of spare parts and accessories for Nissan plants and distributors in North America, ensuring continuous supply by developing suppliers that meet quality, cost and delivery objectives. Coordinates sourcing issue resolution and oversees administrative support activities for the area. A day in the life: manage procurement processes and supplier development for assigned commodities; negotiate costs, terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers; analyze markets, costs, and manufacturing processes to identify optimization opportunities; coordinate cross-functional projects to ensure quality, cost and delivery targets; evaluate technical and commercial proposals, including drawing interpretation and benchmarking when required; maintain effective communication with internal teams and suppliers to ensure operational continuity and business goals. Minimal qualifications: strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills; analytical capability and problem-solving orientation; knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes; familiarity with interpreting drawings, cost estimation, CAD/CAE and benchmarking; creative thinking and innovation; teamwork and global/intercultural collaboration; results-oriented with focus on profitability and continuous improvement; ability to make timely decisions considering business, quality and growth objectives; Education: Bachelor's in Engineering, Administration, Supply Chain, Business or related field; minimum 1 year of experience in procurement, sourcing or project management; knowledge of markets and commodities, regulatory and legal aspects; experience in negotiation, cost analysis and manufacturing process evaluation; fluent in English and Spanish; TOEIC 600+ desirable; proficient in Microsoft Office and digital tools; willingness to travel occasionally within Mexico and the United States.
