About the role

We are seeking a payroll clerk for a permanent position. In Eurajoki municipal service, about 450 staff work in diverse local government tasks. We now seek a payroll clerk for the financial and administrative services for a permanent contract. Are you the payroll accounting expert we are looking for? As the deputy payroll clerk you will also act as a payroll calculation expert and mainly address more demanding payroll questions. Your duties include handling payroll settlements and declarations, duties related to sickness benefits and pension matters, and other payroll accounting tasks. A central part of the role is being the system administrator for payroll systems and related development, guidance and troubleshooting. In the role you also support supervisors and other staff in system use and payroll-related questions. As the deputy payroll clerk you play an important role in maintaining payroll expertise and developing procedures. You will work as part of a capable financial and administrative services professional team and collaborate closely with the municipality’s supervisors and various service areas. What do we require? A suitable lower university degree or equivalent prior qualification. You need good payroll accounting and payroll administration skills and the ability to independently resolve payroll and employment issues. In the selection we emphasize experience in payroll specialist tasks, application of municipal collective agreements (KVTES, OVTES and TS) and system administrator tasks for personnel and payroll systems. We value systematic and thorough work, problem-solving ability, development-mindedness and good cooperation, advisory and customer service skills. What do we offer?
