Mining Development Engineer

Are you eager to help develop mine planning, production planning, and operating methods together with an experienced team? At Boliden Kevitsa you will influence how processes and systems are developed in a practical, responsible, and long-term manner. Boliden Kevitsa is seeking a permanent Mining Development Engineer who will advance development and design projects aimed at improving day-to-day operations, safety, and efficiency at the mine. The role includes, among other tasks, working on the waste rock embankment use, responsible closing, and collaboration on open-pit infrastructure and production planning. You will be part of the Boliden Kevitsa mine planning team, supporting the team and working closely with production and other mining department specialists. You will report to the mining planning manager and collaborate with external stakeholders as well. The position offers the possibility of partial remote work. What we expect from you: relevant education such as a mining engineering degree or another suitable degree; experience from mining operations; fluent Finnish and good English; strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; B-class driving license; ability to organize your own work and drive multiple projects forward simultaneously. We value experience with mining planning and scheduling software such as Deswik, and experience in developing design processes.
