Software Architect

Software Architect – we are looking for a software architect to join Bittium's Defense & Security business unit building advanced communication products for authorities and defense use. As a Software Architect you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software architectures, collaborating closely with software developers, hardware development and other stakeholders to ensure solutions are technically robust, scalable and meet project requirements. The role combines hands-on software work with architectural ownership and leadership of people and teams. You will influence both technical directions and development practices. Requirements include solid experience in software development as a software architect, embedded systems development, C/C++ on Linux, familiarity with development tools such as Git, BitBake, GitLab, Jira and hardware debuggers, and beneficial experience with FreeRTOS and/or Zephyr RTOS, CI and test automation principles, and modern agile practices. Strong teamwork and the ability to lead and guide people in both on-site and remote environments.
