Project Manager

Liminka Municipality, together with Lumijoki, is implementing a KV-Incubator project funded by the Rural Development Fund. The project started on 1 August 2024 and the post is for the project end date 1 October 2026 to 30 June 2027. As Project Manager you will be responsible for the overall coordination, planning, implementation and monitoring of the KV-Incubator project. The objective is to support Liminka, Lumijoki and nearby communities' tourism and service companies by producing up-to-date information on international sports and event tourism service needs and customer segments. The project aims to provide insights on the potential from Ruutikangas and other major regional projects for tourism and related services, and enhance local businesses' ability to serve visitors. Core activities include developing the tourism economy with current data for international productisation and marketing, strengthening internationalization know-how and group-tourism services, improving collaboration and mutual awareness among local tourism actors, and communicating the business potential of events. The role is full-time with a six-month probation. We offer an interesting position linked to international sports and event tourism development and local business growth, with a unique project scope to be completed in your own style. There may be travel to the area; a car is useful. Work is hybrid: main office is Lakeustalo, Liminka, with occasional work in Lumijoki and remote work possible two days per week under Liminka municipality’s remote-work policy.
