Personal Assistant

Services Netto Oy is seeking personal assistants to work under the Act on Disability Services (vammaispalvelulaki) in Tampere and other parts of the Pirkanmaa region. We are looking for reliable, responsible and customer-oriented individuals to support our clients in their daily lives. The work starts immediately. The task of a personal assistant is to enable independent living for a person with disabilities and to support their own choices. Duties are always based on the client’s individual need and may include, for example, assisting with daily activities, dressing and personal care, cooking and housework, shopping and errands, outdoor activities and mobility, hobbies, leisure and social participation, accompanying the client outside the home, and assisting with study or work as needed. Personal assistance is based on the client’s right to self-determination, and the assistant follows the client’s instructions to help them do things they would do themselves if not for their impairment. The role is not medical or caregiving in nature and the assistant does not decide the client’s daily life for them. We expect you to be reliable and responsible, customer-oriented and respectful in your work, have good communication skills, respect the client’s right to self-determination and privacy, be proactive and flexible, be able to work independently, and have sufficient Finnish language skills to perform the tasks. Previous experience as a personal assistant is an advantage but not required. Training will be provided. Employment area: Pirkanmaa. Starting date: immediately. Working time: part-time / gig work as per client needs. Salary: 12.59 EUR/hour plus possible collective agreement rests. Shifts depend on clients’ decisions and individual needs; work may occur on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
