Whether you are a student, retiree or just looking for part-time work, what matters in this role is a willingness to help with a big heart. We are Hemby, a company renewing home services for the elderly, children and basically everyone in need of help. We offer joy and security to our clients’ everyday life and our motto is: we help as if they were our own mother or father. What is a helper? A helper is a person who provides everyday assistance, companionship and/or support with home cleaning for their assigned client, such as an elderly person. The helper's duties may include assisting with various everyday tasks like going outdoors, trips to the store, taking out the trash, or simply chatting over coffee. We also hire cleaning helpers whose tasks include professional home cleaning and window washing. Over time the helper and the client often become friends. Anyone over 18 can work as a helper, from students to retirees. The most important thing is a positive attitude and a real wish to help. What the helper job requires is a genuine will to help. The helper job does not require other special skills. It is enough that you want to spend time with people in need and make their everyday life better and easier with your actions. You can work according to your own situation and hours are very flexible. For cleaning helpers we require experience in the cleaning field. What is the best part of the helper job? We asked our helpers and they replied: - “The unhurried meeting with people and befriending the senior.” - “Helping others and feeling meaningful.” - “Being part of the Hemby community.” As a helper you get: - Your own named client to help with daily tasks and keep them company - Flexible hours that fit well with studies or part-time work. Typical hours are 1-2 times per week for a few hours. - Competitive hourly pay: 13.20-15.98 €/h + collective agreement supplements and holiday pay. - Good progression opportunities: you can advance to pro-helper or guru-helper and get pay raises with experience and positive client feedback!
