Planner

Role overview: We are seeking a planner for the Pirkkala municipality in the education sector, focusing on early childhood, primary education, and after-school activities. The planner will coordinate and develop early childhood and school-related activities, participate in development projects for children and youths, and provide information to support leadership and decision-making. The role includes contributing to staff development, regional collaboration, and serving as a partner and substitute for a head of teaching and as team lead for a service secretary group. Work is done within the administration of children and youth education, with the main work point located at the Pirkkala municipal hall Tiima. About the field: the Education department is responsible for early childhood education, children’s and youth education, and leisure services; we invest in high-quality services, preventive practices, and digital/technological solutions, and we collaborate with Tampere urban area in staff education and development projects. The position is broad and multidisciplinary, requiring independent judgment and excellent communication skills with internal and external clients. Qualifications: a suitable higher university degree; prior background checks for working with children; the position is permanent with start 1 Nov 2026 (or as agreed) and a six-month trial period; office work with regular day hours, optional partial remote work where tasks permit; base pay according to KVTES: 3888.03 €/month plus possible seniority allowance; application deadline 11 Sep 2026.
