Do you enjoy figuring out how work actually happens and then making it faster, smarter, and less manual? Are you the kind of person who doesn’t just spot inefficiencies but immediately starts fixing them with AI and automation? What if you could work side by side with business teams and turn their everyday challenges into working solutions within days? We are now looking for an AI & Process Automation Specialist to join our Business Process & Automation team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be embedded in real operations, working directly with finance teams to redesign how work gets done using AI. What it’s all about At Staria, we help international growth companies manage their finances more effectively by combining accounting services, ERP systems, and data-driven solutions. Our goal is to make complex financial operations work smoothly across countries and systems. We’ve already come a long way in automation, with robotics and automated workflows part of our daily operations. Now, the next step is using AI to go further — reducing repetitive work, improving quality, and freeing up time for more meaningful tasks. You’ll work at the intersection of business operations and AI. Instead of sitting on the sidelines, you’ll go where the work happens: general accounting, closing, payroll, and transaction processes. You’ll observe how things actually run, identify what’s slowing people down, and build automations that remove that friction. This is not a support function or a ticket-based role. You’ll drive change proactively and take ownership of making processes better. How you’ll make a difference In this role, you don’t wait for perfectly defined requirements. You go in, figure things out, and start building. You will work closely with finance professionals, process owners, and automation developers. Your job is to bridge the gap between how work is done today and what it could look like with AI. In practice, you will: - embed into business teams and map how their daily work actually happens through interviews, shadowing, and observation - identify repetitive work, bottlenecks, and error-prone steps that can be improved or automated - turn your findings into clear, concrete automation opportunities with measurable impact - build automations yourself using tools like Copilot, Claude, Make, n8n, or Power Automate - design AI prompts, workflows, and lightweight AI agents that support real accounting tasks such as reconciliations, data validation, and reporting - prototype quickly and get solutions into use fast instead of overplanning - collaborate with the Intelligent Automation development team when something requires deeper technical implementation - train and support business teams in using the solutions you’ve built and make sure they actually stick - capture and share what works so that successful solutions can be reused across other teams The practical stuff We are looking for candidates based in Helsinki, Tampere, Turku, or Lahti. We hope you’re able to visit our headquarters in Helsinki around 1–2 times per month. Our hybrid model combines real flexibility with close collaboration with business teams when it matters. Our salary range for this role is 4100-5000 € /month, depending on your background. The holiday bonus is distributed evenly across your monthly pay, so it’s part of your regular salary. What helps you thrive in this role This role is a great fit for you if you bring: - A hands-on mindset. You like building, testing, and improving solutions yourself - Practical experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot, and the ability to create simple AI-driven workflows - Experience with no-code or low-code automation tools such as Make, Power Automate, n8n, Zapier, or similar - Curiosity towards how business processes work and ability to break down complex workflows - Confidence to work with different teams, ask questions, and challenge existing ways of working in a constructive way - Ability to turn ideas into something concrete quickly, even as a rough prototype - Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Fluency in English. Finnish is a strong advantage in this role We’re especially interested in candidates who can show how they’ve already improved or automated real work in practice. This could be anything from building automations in your current role to redesigning a process end-to-end. You might have a background like this This role typically fits someone in the early to mid stage of their career who is already comfortable building things independently. There’s no single “right” background for this role, but you might recognize yourself here: - You’ve worked in consulting or in process development and enjoyed the hands-on automation work the most - You are a process / solution owner in finance, payroll, or operations and have started automating the processes - You’ve been a business analyst or process specialist and want to move from documenting to actually improving processes - You’ve built automations in a startup or scaleup and like figuring things out as you go Why join us - You’ll spend most of your time building real automations, not slides or concepts. You’ll see immediately how your work saves time and improves people’s daily work. - You’ll get to experiment with the latest AI tools in real business processes and figure out what actually works in practice, not just in theory. - We are serious about growth, but never too serious at work. Our hierarchy is low and the atmosphere is relaxed. Here, you can bring your whole self to work — personality, quirks, and all. - Flexibility is part of our DNA. In our hybrid model you can work from home, our offices, or even abroad from time to time. - While we value flexible remote work, we also prioritize in-person connections: onboarding and team days, office breakfasts, and shared events bring us together on a regular basis. - We’re proud of our Great Workplace certification, because it’s based on what matters most: strong teamwork, sense of purpose, managers who truly listen, and a culture where people want to stick around. - You’ll have the chance to grow and develop your career in various directions. We support your professional development and encourage you to seize new opportunities as we expand internationally. - We’re growing and our finances are solid. You can focus on your work without worrying about the ground shifting under your feet. - You’ll get benefits that make everyday life smoother: lunch, phone, and recreational perks are all part of the deal. Apply easily with your resume or LinkedIn profile and by answering a few short questions as soon as possible, no later than 9.8.2026. No cover letter needed.
