The University of Turku invites applications for a contract-based, fixed-term Senior Researcher position in the CAUSALTIME project. The selected researcher will contribute to theoretical methodological development related to extensions of hidden Markov models, statistical software development, and designing/writing scientific articles as part of a multidisciplinary team. The position may involve applied research using Finnish population register data. Requirements include a doctoral degree and ability to conduct independent scientific work, with emphasis on publications and teaching skills. Desirable qualifications include Bayesian modelling, Stan/NIMBLE, knowledge of hidden Markov models and structural causal models, numerical optimization, C++, and experience with large longitudinal datasets.
