Varhais- ja musiikkikasvatuksen tutkimusyksikkö (CHIMES) vastaa varhaiskasvatuksen ja musiikkikasvatuksen tutkinto-ohjelmankoulutuksista. Tutkimusyksikön vahvuutena on monipuolinen tutkimusosaaminen varhaiskasvatuksessa, musiikkikasvatuksessa, lapsuudentutkimuksessa ja opettajankoulutuksissa. Tehtävä sijoittuu varhaiskasvatuksen koulutukseen. Työtehtävät: Varhaiskasvatuksen perus-, aine- ja syventävien opintojen opetuksen suunnittelu, toteuttaminen ja arviointi sovittavan työsuunnitelman mukaisesti; Opinnäytetöiden ja opetusharjoittelujen ohjaaminen; Opettajankoulutuksen suunnittelu-, arviointi- ja kehittämistyö; Tutkimusperustaisen opetuksen sisällöllinen ja pedagoginen suunnittelu, toteuttaminen, arviointi ja kehittäminen sekä opetusmateriaalien tuottaminen; Opiskelijoiden ohjaaminen ja omaopettajatehtävien hoitaminen; Varhaiskasvatuksen alaan liittyvän tutkimuksen tekeminen ja edistäminen tiedekunnassa; Opetukseen ja tutkimukseen kuuluvat hallinnolliset tehtävät; Osallistuminen tutkimusyksikön ja tiedekunnan toimintaan sekä niissä sovittuihin vastuu- ja kehittämistehtäviin. Tehtävässä edellytämme: Tehtävään soveltuvaa tohtorin tutkintoa (esim. kasvatustieteen tohtori); Vähintään viiden opintopisteen laajuisia yliopistopedagogisia tai niihin rinnastettavia opintoja; Vähintään kahden vuoden kokemusta yliopistotasoisesta opetuksesta ja ohjauksesta; Tieteellistä tutkimus- ja julkaisutoimintaa varhaiskasvatuksen alalta väitöskirjatyön lisäksi; Näyttöä yliopistotasoisesta varhaiskasvatuksen opetuksesta; Näyttöä opinnäytetöiden ohjaamisesta; Näyttöä yliopistotasoisen opetuksen kehittämisestä; Näyttöä verkko- ja monimuoto-opetuksen toteuttamisesta; Sujuva kirjallinen ja suullinen suomen ja englannin kielen taito. Palkkaus: Tehtävä on määräaikainen (100 %) sijaisuus 1.11.2026–31.12.2028 ajalle. Tehtävä sijoittuu yliopiston palkkausjärjestelmän opetus- ja tutkimushenkilöstön vaativuustasolle 6. Lisäksi maksetaan henkilökohtaiseen suoriutumiseen perustuvaa palkanosaa, joka on enintään 50 % tehtäväkohtaisesta palkanosasta. Palkka vastaavissa tehtävissä on tyypillisesti 4500–4800 EUR/kk. Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess foundational, core and advanced early childhood education courses
- Supervise theses and teaching practica
- Design, evaluate and develop teacher education curricula and materials
- Plan and implement research-based teaching content and pedagogy, and develop teaching materials
- Supervise students and fulfill practicum teaching duties
- Conduct and advance research in early childhood education within the faculty
- Engage in administrative tasks related to teaching and research
- Participate in unit and faculty activities and related responsibilities
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in a field relevant to the position (e.g., Doctor of Education)
- University pedagogy courses worth at least 5 study points or equivalent
- At least two years of university-level teaching and supervision experience
- Scholarly research and publications in early childhood education beyond the dissertation
- Evidence of university-level early childhood education teaching experience
- Evidence of supervising theses
- Evidence of development of university teaching
- Evidence of online and blended learning delivery
- Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English
