Personal assistant

As a personal assistant you will support our clients to live their own life fully. Onni’s clients are individuals who need help with daily tasks due to illness or disability. You will assist with household chores and activities outside the home. Assignments may vary among clients and levels, and duties are always determined by the client’s condition and individual assistance needs. The job is diverse and may, if you wish, include several different clients and tasks during the same day. No formal training or prior experience is required; the key is the right attitude toward care work, willingness to learn, and customer‑oriented approach in different situations. All new assistants are thoroughly oriented in Onni’s own Assistant Academy before starting, and orientation continues as needed during employment. You will receive continuous guidance and support from your team supervisor, and you will never be left alone with questions or potential work challenges. Work is mainly on weekdays. Shift lengths vary from two hours upwards, and a workday may consist of one or more different clients. You can influence your shifts and work part‑time or on a gig basis in a way that best fits your life situation. We take into account both our clients’ assistant needs and our assistants’ work preferences so they fit together as well as possible. The first shift for the client is a training shift if needed, after which both assistant and client can assess, for example, the smoothness of collaboration and compatibility of personalities. If later you feel something is unclear or not working as planned, we will address it together and find a suitable solution for you. If you wish, you can work for more than one client at Onni, when schedules are coordinated. We hope you have: Finnish language skills at B2 level; a driving license and access to your own car if needed; being of legal working age.
