Looking for work that fits your everyday life and lets you genuinely help someone live life on their own terms? Become a personal assistant at Humana in the Lapland region! We are continually looking for new personal assistants to join Humana as well-being influencers! At its best, personal assistance means genuine human connection, making everyday life easier and bringing joy to another person. At Humana, every employee helps promote well-being and enrich lives. As a personal assistant, your most important task is to support our client's preferred way of life and make everyday life run smoothly, both at home and outside it. You assist with ordinary daily activities that the client would do themselves but cannot manage alone because of a disability or illness. You help ensure that our client receives the best possible support, can live life on their own terms and enjoy an active everyday life with a sense of community. Your tasks may include assisting with mobility, housework, cooking, hobbies, personal hygiene, social visits, errands, or activities at school and work. Pay follows the private social services collective agreement, grade G16A (hourly pay €13.20–€14.51 depending on years of experience, plus supplements under the agreement for shift work). Employment is on an as-needed, hourly basis, so you can work according to your own schedule. You work with one client at a time, and the number of hours varies depending on the client. You may have several client relationships if you wish. You can read more about working at Humana and our well-being influencers here! What kind of person are we looking for? You may be the person we are looking for if you have a self-starting and positive attitude, enjoy working independently and can adapt to changing situations. We do not require specific education or previous experience; what matters most is a genuine interest in disability support and assistance. You want to support the client's preferred way of life, follow their instructions and respect their right to self-determination. Spoken and written Finnish are essential for the role. We expect selected candidates to have vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act. The selected person must provide the criminal record extract required for people working with children and people with disabilities. Why take this opportunity? Humana is an innovative, developing, large and secure employer with a good employer reputation. At Humana, clients are always treated with respect, and our work is participatory, open and transparent. We support our employees' well-being by providing comprehensive induction to your new role, as well as support from the team leader and the whole assistant team. At Humana, you have an employer that takes responsibility for its values. We firmly believe in our ability to promote well-being for people and society. We are proud of our values: commitment, responsibility, respectful encounters and joy. Read more about why you should join our team! Interested? Fill in the application now! We continually review applications as we look for new assistants for our clients. Personal assistance is often based on a close personal relationship, and the person receiving assistance generally gets to choose their assistant. For this reason, the application form asks for a range of information, such as your interests and hobbies, age and gender, as well as other details that help us understand what kind of person you are and what interests you. This information may matter to the person receiving assistance and helps us find the most suitable client for you. We will contact you if a potentially suitable client relationship is available. Humana is a leading Nordic social services provider offering individual social services close to people and family life. We have 2,300 employees in Finland. We help and support 5,000 people in different life situations. Our vision is that everyone has the right to a good life, and we work towards it by promoting well-being for people and society.
