Vocational Teacher

Your primary task is to guide students in their graduation and transition into working life. Your working hours vary daily and weekly, and leisure periods are nearly the same as those of our students. Your job description will be shaped according to your wishes and work experience. You can teach basics to beginning students, or installation and more demanding modules to continuing students. As a teacher at Omnia, you can always develop your own work. Eligibility requirements are defined in the Decree on the Qualification Requirements for Teaching Staff A986/1998. The position requires a suitable higher education degree in the electrical field, such as a Bachelor of Engineering (AMK) or a Master of Science in Technology (DI). Additionally, the applicant is expected to have experience in concluding apprenticeship contracts and organizing vocational qualifications. It is important that the selected person is a professional competent in low voltage according to the Electrical Safety Act 1135/2016 and standard SFS 6002. A class B driver's license is also required. An electrical qualification certificate 1 or 2 and knowledge of building automation are considered an advantage. A probationary period applies to the position. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Act 504/2002.
