Welcome to join as a specialist physician at HUS Diagnostics Centre, Radiology department, Peijas Hospital radiology unit. HUS Diagnostics Centre is Finland’s leading producer of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our main activity covers specialized medical care of the HUS joint authority and primary health care of welfare regions belonging to HUS. We also handle laboratory and imaging services for the Kymenlaakso and South Karelia welfare regions. We operate in eight medical specialties and nationally contribute to many demanding studies and to the research and teaching at the university hospital. Radiological diagnostics play a central role in confirming diseases, exclusion, treatment, monitoring and screening. About 3500 lab and imaging professionals work at HUS Diagnostics Centre across more than 170 sites. The role focuses on Peijas Hospital radiology unit, with on-call duties. The work includes training of medical students and residents. Employment starts October 1, 2026 or by agreement. Salary is paid according to the physician contract (LS), currently starting at 6443.01 euros per month (career level 2A) plus possible experience and other allowances. Qualifications include specialist medical degree in a relevant specialty and licensed physician or permission to practice. Language requirements: Finnish and Swedish proficiency for oral and written communication, or Swedish high oral/written plus Finnish reasonable proficiency.
