Manual machinist for Porvoo. We are looking for a manual machinist for our client in Porvoo, who wants to perform varied machining work both at the workshop and at customers' production environments. In the role you will be able to use your expertise in a versatile way. Most of the work takes place at the client's own workshop, but the job description also includes on-site machining tasks such as machining, maintenance, repair and restoration work directly at customer production facilities. Work sites vary, so workdays do not always consist of the same tasks. You will mainly work with manual machines, such as lathes and milling machines. At customer sites you will address practical machining and repair needs where production equipment is in use. The duties emphasize: manual machining on lathes, milling machines and other manual machines; performing various machining and repair tasks at customers' production facilities; tasks related to restoring machines and components; interpreting technical drawings; precise measurement and ensuring quality; independent work in different environments. What kind of professional are we looking for? Ideally you have experience with manual machining or a metalwork school background. It is important that you master the basics of machining and can work carefully also independently. We expect: experience with manual machining or metal industry education; good ability to read technical drawings; understanding of measurement accuracy and tolerances; proactive and responsible attitude to work; ability to work both independently and as part of a team; fluent Finnish language skills; driving license B and willingness to move between customer sites; previous on-site machining experience is an asset but the role can also grow through other applicable machining skills.
