Experienced Plate Welder

Experienced plate welder for heavy machine-shop engineering We are looking for a skilled plate welder capable of working independently for our client, a permanent position. Our client is a respected company specialising in heavy machine-shop engineering, where quality and solid workmanship are central to production. In this role, you can make broad use of your skills in component fabrication and installation of heavy structures and demanding metalwork. Your duties include: - Varied plate-work, fabrication and installation of heavy steel structures - MIG welding in a machine-shop environment (main material mild steel/structural steel) - Tack welding, fitting and measuring components, and independent assembly from start to finish - Working strictly according to technical drawings and work instructions We hope you have: - At least 3 years of experience as a plate welder, preferably in heavy machine-shop engineering - Strong MIG welding skills working with mild steel - Excellent drawing-reading skills and the ability to understand large, complex assemblies - Accuracy, good three-dimensional visualisation and an understanding of the importance of dimensional precision - An independent, problem-solving and safety-conscious approach to work We offer: - A responsible and varied role where you can see the results of your work in large projects - Long-term work in a stable, modern machine shop - A skilled work community and quality tools - Pay at least in accordance with the collective agreement, or higher depending on your strong skills and experience Employment is initially arranged with WE Rekry.
