We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and sensitive early childhood education professional to join Aurinkokiven days-care in Vantaa. As an early childhood education teacher you will be responsible for building the operating culture and learning environment for your group of 3–5 year olds, planning, implementing, developing and evaluating pedagogical activities in accordance with the Vantaa early childhood education and pre-school plan and the unit’s action plan, together with other staff. We value good teamwork and interaction skills and the ability to respond to each child’s individual needs. You will work in a multidisciplinary way and collaborate with colleagues to create a warm and inclusive daily life. We also emphasise child friendship and emotional skills, and a warm interaction with children and parents. The unit uses ProVaka activity model to support social skills, and you will follow its principles together with the rest of the staff. There are clear leadership structures and opportunities to participate in unit leadership discussions. A wide-ranging special education teacher within the unit will support you with child-support issues. We offer a welcoming, collaborative and engaged workspace. The unit is well connected in Kivistö with five child groups, an open meeting space and clubs, with versatile facilities and good opportunities for outdoor activities. Aurinkokiven daycare is part of the Aurinkokiven service centre, which also houses a primary school, student welfare, maternity and child health clinic, music and art schools.
