Building Trades Teacher

Kainuun ammattiopisto seeks two teachers for permanent teaching positions in construction trades, starting 14 September 2026 or by agreement. The role includes teaching various aspects of the carpentry basic qualification, personal guidance of students, acting as a tutor, supervising on-site teaching, and assessing demonstrations. We value a forward-looking attitude and personal development; good ICT skills are essential. A broad knowledge of construction trades and the ability to work independently are appreciated. The teaching and guidance work at Kainuun ammattiopisto is planned and implemented in collaboration with teachers, therefore good cooperation and teamwork are required. Qualifications follow the regulations in the decree on qualifications of educational personnel (986/1998, amended 1150/2017) for teachers of vocational modules; a suitable university degree is required.
