About the role

What you will do: Build scalable data pipelines and data products for our customers, owning end-to-end data solutions in collaboration with Product Managers. Mentor junior engineers, perform code reviews, and contribute to architecture decisions. Ensure code quality through tests and documentation. Work with a global team to deliver a high-performance data platform. Maintain system stability with performance tuning and comprehensive testing. Responsibilities: Translate requirements, estimate effort, and address blockers; write clean, maintainable code; own projects across infrastructure, app tiers, and data tiers; monitor performance and propose improvements. Tech stack: Scala, Spark, Python; Airflow; ScyllaDB, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Hive, Redis, Kafka, Kafka Connect; Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, AWS. Required: 5+ years in Data Engineering, 3+ years in agile environments, Spark proficiency, Java/Scala, RESTful APIs, code reviews, testing, Git proficiency. Preferred: Backend scalability, low-latency designs, data formats, FP in Scala, cybersecurity, strong docs and collaboration. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with large-scale pipelines
  • 3+ years in agile environments (ideally Scrum)
  • Proficient in Spark
  • Experience with Java/Scala
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with external services
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices
  • Ability to write and maintain unit and integration tests
  • Proficiency with Git
