Assistant Chief Physician

We are seeking an Assistant Chief Physician for the Primary Health Care Department of the Kymenlaakso Hospital District. As an Assistant Chief Physician you will play a central role in the inpatient ward activities of primary health care, performing clinical patient care on the ward, developing ward operations in collaboration with the area chief, and supervising and training medical students. You will have the opportunity to truly develop the ward’s operations, with support from your colleagues. We also offer opportunities to develop your leadership skills. The role is varied and provides a chance to influence both patient care and service development. You will work closely with professionals from various specialties and from specialized medical care. The workplace is currently mainly Hamina inpatient ward, but due to organizational changes the work location may move in the future. There is no on-call duty. Weekly work time is 38 hours 15 minutes. Remote work can be agreed according to the nature of the task. You are eligible if you are licensed to practice medicine and have a valid right to practice medicine in Finland. We especially value: general practice, geriatrics or internal medicine specialist qualification; interest or experience in leadership and development of operations; good cooperation and interpersonal skills; development-oriented and solution-focused approach.
