Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking Arvi Säkylä-based healthcare assistants who demonstrate a rehabilitative approach in patient interactions and provide patient-centered care. Strong communication skills and a cheerful attitude are important, and you should be able to adapt to rapidly changing situations. You will have the opportunity to participate in shift planning. In the unit, we care for patients requiring short-term care, rehabilitation or assessment. The aim of care is to support aging individuals to live at home, to sustain informal carers, and to assess the patient’s situation or arrange continuation of care. You will need good geriatric care competencies and skills in functional assessment and support. Care at Arvi Säkylä is short-term housing care outside the home. Employees are admitted directly from home or hospital for continued care and rehabilitation. Orientation is planned individually according to your needs, and you will receive support from the whole work community and your supervisor. You are eligible if you have a professional qualification in social and healthcare (practical nurse) or an earlier level qualification in the field. Professional competence must be verifiable (Valvira). In addition, good spoken and written Finnish are required. Applicants must provide a criminal record extract as required by law for working with older persons (741/2023 §28). A six-month probation applies. The job is on a three-shift schedule. Terms of employment and wages are governed by the SOTE collective agreement. Original educational and degree documents will be checked from those invited for interviews.
