Kajaani City is seeking a full‑time hourly teacher for basic education for Lehtikankaan school for the period 1 Sept 2026–31 July 2027. The position is in a mixed and large unified school, located in the 2E class, which combines general education and special education in one classroom. The teaching team includes a special education teacher and teaching assistants. The Lehtikankaan school building, completed in 2017, has well‑kept, modern facilities. The school operates in a multi‑functional campus that also houses a library and a daycare. The school has more than 900 pupils at the start of this school year; students from nearby Soidinsuon school have transferred due to the closure. In addition to general education classes, there are diverse special classes and exercise‑oriented classes in the upper grades. We expect good collaboration and organizational skills and the ability to work closely with the special education teacher and teaching assistants. Proficiency in digital learning environments and an innovative approach to teaching are also valued. Qualification required is the teaching qualification for classroom teaching (as per ordinance 986/1998). The successful candidate must meet the qualifications by the end of the application period, and the qualifications will be checked at possible interview. If qualified applicants are lacking, other applicants will be considered. Salary is in accordance with OVTES; the salary for a qualified class teacher for grades 1–6 is 2993.15–3294.02 € per month.
