Location: Seattle Greater Area or Bay Area (Hybrid/Onsite depending on role) Job Type: Full-time or Contract Level: Entry-level to Senior/Principal (based on experience)About the Role Our client is continuously seeking talented Image Processing and Computer Vision Engineers to support current and upcoming projects across AR/VR/MR, imaging systems, camera architectures, and advanced sensing platforms. This is an open application role, allowing us to align candidates with the right team, level, and project based on experience and technical strengths. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams spanning hardware, optics, software, and research to design, develop, and optimize imaging algorithms and systems that power next-generation products.Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize image processing and computer vision algorithms for real-world imaging systems Build and maintain software tools and frameworks for image analysis, simulation, and validation Develop algorithms for tasks such as image enhancement, denoising, deblurring, calibration, reconstruction, segmentation, detection, or tracking Analyze image quality using objective and subjective metrics; support system-level performance evaluation Implement solutions in Python and/or MATLAB, with opportunities to work in C/C++, GPU acceleration, or cloud-based workflows depending on the role Collaborate with cross-functional partners including optics, hardware, firmware, and product teams Support data collection, automation, testing, and validation of imaging pipelines Document designs, results, and best practices to support scalable and maintainable solutionsBasic Qualifications (vary by level) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Imaging Science, Physics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred for senior roles) Experience with image processing and/or computer vision fundamentals Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for algorithm development and data analysis Understanding of image formation, imaging pipelines, and camera systems Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or collaborativelyPreferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience with computer vision or machine learning frameworks C/C++ and/or GPU programming (CUDA, OpenCL, Metal, etc.) Familiarity with camera calibration, image quality metrics, or optical systems Experience working with real image data from cameras or sensors Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or large-scale data processing Background in AR/VR, robotics, automotive, mobile imaging, or consumer electronicsSalary, Perks & Benefits Competitive salary (commensurate with experience and level) 401(k) with company match or Roth options Medical, dental, and vision insurance Optional life insurance coverage Paid time off Relocation assistance for qualified candidates Team events and professional development opportunitiesWhy Join OptoFidelity? Requirements
