Shift Leader (vaikka vuoropäällikkö) is an exemplar for the team, motivating others with energy and enthusiasm. Responsible for the operational leadership of the shift and for supervising staff together with the Coffee Shop Manager and Assistant Manager. Acts as a motivating role model to the team and encourages them to perform at their best every day. Also develops personal skills as a top-level customer service professional. Is responsible for the ambience and service in the cafe during the shift, prepares a variety of beverages and food items, and maintains cleanliness. A key part of the role is to motivate the team and invest in their well-being and daily skills development. The position requires flexible hours across all cafe opening times, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. We offer a comprehensive onboarding plan and clear opportunities for career advancement within Espresso House. We provide a friendly, energetic team culture with a strong emphasis on responsibility, sustainability, and meaningful work. Pay starts at TES tariff; for 0–2 years experience the rate is 14.34 €/h plus allowances, with increases after 6 months and again after 12 months, and a 50% staff discount on our products. We prefer candidates with experience in the restaurant/hospitality sector and those who are outgoing, energetic, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. Finnish language proficiency is required as our internal training and team communication are primarily in Finnish.
