A key part of your role is planning, delivering and developing communications for SOS Children's Village's international work. You will produce varied content for websites, social media and newsletters, among other channels, and plan communications campaigns, events and webinars. You will make our projects' results and impact visible to different audiences and contribute to developing expert and advocacy communications for international work. In addition, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring and reporting on one or two international development cooperation projects in collaboration with our local partners, under the guidance of the Head of International Work. You will also help develop new projects, identify funding opportunities and advance partnerships. You will work as part of the extensive international SOS Children's Villages network and collaborate closely with colleagues, funders, companies and other stakeholders in Finland and around the world. Experience in advocacy communications, social media campaigns, audiovisual content production, and organising events and webinars is also valued. You understand the key processes of project work and can coordinate your projects independently in collaboration with international partners. You have experience in development cooperation funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and in results-based project planning, monitoring and reporting. You know how to use project results and information from partners in communications. Experience in corporate collaboration and partnership development, familiarity with the Finnpartnership instrument, and knowledge of operating environments in East and/or West Africa are advantages. We also value knowledge of children's rights and a human-rights-based approach, as well as expertise in the key themes of our projects, such as child protection, sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality and education. In our small international team, we value an action-oriented, solution-focused approach, strong organisational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage several tasks at once. You want to generate ideas, develop and learn, and put plans into practice in collaboration with other experts. Success in the role requires a relevant master's-level degree, three to five years of relevant work experience, excellent Finnish and English, and readiness to travel to project countries when needed.
