Technical Drafter - Steelboss Oy - Hollola, Finland

Steelboss Oy is looking for a technical drafter to strengthen their design team. We are seeking a person who enjoys working with steel structures and wants to be involved in transforming structural plans into manufacturable machine shop drawings. In this role, you will primarily utilize your Tekla Structures skills and produce precise manufacturing drawings for steel structure production. Your tasks include creating machine shop drawings of steel structures based on structural plans, IFC models, and design documents. You will be responsible for producing manufacturing drawings that support efficient production and installation on site. In your work: - Create machine shop drawings and component drawings of steel structures - Model structures using Tekla Structures software - Produce assembly, part, and manufacturing drawings - Review design documents from a manufacturing perspective - Collaborate with structural designers, project managers, and production teams - Participate in the development and coordination of plans as needed. Requirements include good Tekla Structures skills, strong 2D drafting skills (e.g., AutoCAD or similar), ability to interpret structural drawings and IFC models, understanding of steel structures, welded structures, and machine shop production, a precise and careful work approach, and fluent Finnish language skills. Preferred qualifications include experience in creating machine shop drawings, experience in steel structure manufacturing or installation, knowledge of EN 1090 standards, and broader skills in Tekla Structures modeling.
