We are seeking one permanent Employment Specialist for the job placement and recruitment team to work with job seeker service processes. Start date September 1, 2026, or by agreement. The purpose of the Employment Specialist's role is to promote the placement of clients into the labor market either directly or through skills development, enhance the availability of skilled labor and thereby the functioning of the labor market and the competitiveness of companies, and reduce the social costs of unemployment. Additionally, the purpose is to provide statutory public labor services to companies and employers in cooperation with other parties providing business services, and to promote the availability of skilled labor and thereby the functioning of the labor market and the competitiveness of companies. The central task of the job is to be holistically responsible for the individual client's service process in accordance with the statutory job seeker service model. The work requires the management and application of laws, decrees, and guidelines pertaining to the role, as well as a result-oriented approach. The duties of the Employment Specialist include assessing the skills and service needs of individual clients, managing job seekers' unemployment security, creating employment plans together with the client, and providing goal-oriented guidance. In addition to implementing statutory local services in the employment area, the work includes general job search counseling and service guidance. The tasks involve cooperation with various parties, as well as the development and evaluation of one's own work and service entity. The Employment Specialist is responsible for the required entries into the client information system according to the client process. The position involves extensive use of public authority in the client's service process. Therefore, the employee must manage and be able to apply the legislation guiding the work. As an Employment Specialist, you are responsible for performing your duties in accordance with the law, equality, and good administration. We require fluent oral and written skills in Finnish. A six (6) month probationary period applies to the employment relationship, provided that the conditions of the official and collective agreements are met. The official relationship is filled conditionally until the selected person has presented an acceptable certificate of their health status to the appointing authority. The official relationship and its terms follow the general municipal official and collective agreement. The working hours are general working hours of 38.25h/week. The eligibility requirement is a suitable higher education degree.
