Lead Guides are team players who take pride in delivering above-and-beyond customer service. National Museum guides lead tours in the museum’s exhibitions, run workshops, and ensure smooth daily operation of guiding and group services by supporting customer communication and service teams in changing daily circumstances. The four lead guides will start at different times: the first one between November 2026 and the start of November 2026 and the remaining three in January 2027 or early 2027. We want to hire a quartet of lead guides with complementary experience and skills. Key responsibilities include guiding all National Museum tours and workshops in at least two languages, coordinating and supporting the daily work of service guides, working with resource management systems to ensure current information flows within and between units, contributing to onboarding of service guides and assistants, delivering high-quality professional customer service in the National Museum spaces, handling multi-channel guest service, managing bookings, and coordinating invoicing. The National Museum will open to the public in spring 2027, and recruitment for service guides, service assistants, porters, and shop attendants will begin in late 2026. The four lead guides will work with the rest of the visitor services staff under the supervision of the customer service supervisor. We aim to exceed visitor expectations and bring cultural heritage closer to people and society. The roles are located at Kansallismuseo (Mannerheimintie 34). Work hours are flexible within museum opening hours, including evenings and weekends (37.75 hours per week). Before the museum opens, weekly hours will be scheduled Mon–Fri. Do you have guiding experience, a strong service mindset, and creative problem-solving skills? We offer a unique opportunity to contribute to a new customer experience at the National Museum—one of the country’s largest and most international museums. There are no formal qualification requirements. A six-month probation applies. The recruitment is anonymous to promote fair processing of applications. Anonymous recruitment hides applicants’ identifiers until invitations to interviews are decided. Applicants may provide anonymous data in the application, such as name, date of birth, gender, phone numbers, email, address, municipality, and mother tongue.
