You will work as a psychologist in a multi-disciplinary team in demanding disability services. The team includes a physician, speech therapist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, neuropsychiatry assistant, music therapist and a social worker. Your duties include psychological assessments, examinations and opinions, as well as planning and following rehabilitation. You will participate in support conversations with clients and their families and provide guidance and counseling to networks around the client. The role also includes tasks related to autonomy and restrictive measures, and you are part of multidisciplinary teams on these issues within disability services. Additionally you will participate in planning and delivering continuing education for professionals in the field. The Expert and Development Center serves all of Swedish-speaking Finland, which may involve travel. A company car is available. The center is located in Kirjala, Parainen. The operation includes expert services, an 11-bed crisis, investigation and rehabilitation unit and a 7-bed special support housing unit Kojan. Clients come from across the Swedish-speaking area of Finland, and you will collaborate with Finnish-speaking colleagues in a similar operation in Paimio. The facilities are relatively new (completed in 2019) with good bus connections and a large free parking area. What we expect: good Finnish and Swedish language skills, ability to express yourself fluently in both written and spoken Swedish. Experience with people with intellectual disabilities, neuropsychiatric disorders, or psychiatric challenges; experience in multidisciplinary teams and willingness to travel within Swedish-speaking Finland are valued.
